The Davis Brass Ensemble was founded in 1974 as a performing brass quintet.
As various demands were made upon the group, the ensemble expanded in the 1980s to eight, ten, and up to as
many as eighteen members to fit the occasion. It periodically performs concerts filled with
modern works and brass arrangements of the concert repertoire, as well as accompanying choral pieces
with The Davis Community Chorale.
